According to the Darkhold, Maximoff's powers exceeded even those of the Sorcerer Supreme. Despite this, Maximoff did not receive formal training, and has not yet refined her magic, especially when compared to Doctor Strange. She refined her abilities upon acquiring the Darkhold, and after a year of study, Maximoff became the most powerful witch alive and one of the most powerful beings in the Multiverse. Her witchcraft abilities had grown so great that even all the apprentices and sorcerers of Kamar-Taj were unable to hold her for long. Maximoff's innate power was superior to that of Doctor Strange's and Wong's, the former Sorcerer Supreme and the current Sorcerer Supreme respectively, despite both having more experience in the mystic arts, as well as overcoming and killing the Illuminati with little effort while in her alternate self's body.</div>
